Why Fashion Is My Favorite Kind of Art

I’ve always felt that the best art doesn’t hang quietly on a wall. It moves. It makes noise. It actually sparks something inside you.

For me, fashion does all of that. The best part? You get to wear it.

Clothes don’t have to be “just an outfit.” They’re literal emotions you can zip up.

A jacket can give you confidence you didn’t have five minutes ago.

A pair of jeans can carry the stories of everyone who loved them before you.

Getting dressed can make you feel like the most authentic version of yourself — bold, soft, wild, or wonderfully weird. (Sometimes a cute lil combination fried rice of the aforementioned.)

Fashion lets us choose who we want to be

It is a constant reminder that your identity isn’t fixed — it’s a living, breathing collage of the music we love, the places we’ve been, and a collection of all the moments that made us feel alive.

The part I love the most??

Helping someone else find that piece… The one that makes them do a shoulder dance or even a half smile after a rough day… Getting to witness them experience that same tiny rush you get from a great song or a powerful painting. That’s art. That’s storytelling. That’s connection. That’s. Fashion.

Vintage style has this beautiful extra layer of magic to it. Every piece has a past, a little mystery stitched into the seams. Maybe it’s the storyteller in me, but I freaking love the notion of that. We get to give it a second act — a fresh spin, a new beat, a new dance floor. In this world obsessed with “instant gratification,” finding that perfect piece that’s already lived? That’s rebellion wrapped in fabric.

So yes, fashion is art. It’s personal. It’s everyday.

It most definitely can make you feel something.
